The device, which goes on sale today, grants users access to over 180 free digital TV and radio channels.
Freesat's Freetime service is the company's own take on smart TV and on-demand services. It allows users to roll back the TV guide and watch programmes that have already been on.
The box will offer curated recommendations for TV in a special 'Showcase' section as well as the same On-Demand offerings found with Freesat.
This means users can stream from iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD, Demand 5 and YouTube. The current 180-channel selection is said to be getting an increase in the New Year.
The Humax box does lack a hard drive, however, so recording isn't possible.
